Homeownership Readiness

Provides homeownership readiness training rooted in stewardship and practical wisdom. Families receive guidance on budgeting, credit repair, and the homebuying process to move toward safe, stable housing and a stronger future.

Participants receive training in budgeting, debt reduction, credit improvement, down-payment planning, and mortgage readiness. Workshops explain how to work with lenders and realtors, understand interest rates and closing costs, and identify legitimate assistance programs. Families also learn home maintenance basics so ownership remains sustainable after purchase.

Living Water Family Services partners with local banks, housing counselors, and community organizations in Marion and surrounding areas to connect participants with trusted resources and affordable financing opportunities. The program is especially designed for families receiving food assistance, parents in our youth health and technology programs, and individuals seeking stable housing after financial hardship.

Through this initiative, Living Water Family Services seeks to strengthen families, increase neighborhood stability, and help create generational wealth in underserved communities. By combining financial education, housing guidance, and ongoing support, we help families move from crisis to confidence—and from renting to owning.
